RE: [alfa] JB Weld and high temperatures

JB Weld is glue, all of the other stuff for exhaust leaks is also glue or goo
- whatever you wanna call it. Where is the leak? if it's at a flange then a
new gasket is the answer, if it's from a pipe or muffler then the only real
solution is weld or replace.

Those are the facts.

JB Weld is good if you want to glue an ornament on your hood - that's about it
though.

Joe asked:
"Has anyone ever used JB Weld to successfully patch up an exhaust
leak?"

Why not use Gun Gum, or one of the other proprietary exhaust repair cements?
They're made for exhaust temperatures, and they expand with temperature in
order to properly seal the leak.
