[alfa] intermittent valve cover leak

I have a 91 spider which has developed a leak from the valve cover, however
it only leaks after the engine is shut off or if I remove the oil filler cap
while running. It leaks near number 2-3 cylinders on the exhaust manifold
side. Is this just a valve cover leak or should I be suspecting something
more.
