[alfa] Rebuilding Spider Door panels... board material suggestions?

I rebuilt my door panels and used the standard hardboard. I did spray it 
down well with varathane to make it water resistant. I then glued and 
stapled the vinyl back on. I've heard some people have used the clear 
plastic panels that you can buy in the home stores, however, you have to 
glue the wrapped edges, since staples won't work. I think the waterproofed 
hardboard will work great for me, but you do have to make sure that the 
plastic splash sheeting in the door is intact and doing it's job. As far as 
getting the mounting holes correct, don't use the old panel. I found that 
the old one has probably shrunk at little. Get a piece of cardboard and make 
a template to match the exact position of the holes and the exact size you 
want so it meets the edges of the metal well. The vinyl will stretch nicely 
to fit.
