it disturbs the front-to-back bias. in fact, the bias is likely to shift,
perhaps more than once, as heat gets into the pads during a
session.

the advice is basically for less experienced drivers. once you start
doing things like adjusting brake bias on your own, all bets are off.

i don't think i'd mix left-to-right, but for a track car, mixing front to
back isn't out of the question (left-to-right mixes might make sense
for some oval track situations, i'm going to have to think about that
one.)
