RE: [alfa] Alfa Soft Top Labor Estimate

Once again Dean Cains has made the statement...

<<Ed's tops just don't fit right,>>

And though Dean has written this time and time before, the important facts
that Dean always seems to leave out are:

1) Dean informed me of his alleged problem(s) YEARS AGO when he first
installed the top and at that time I offered him a no-charge, new replacement top
exchange... he REFUSED IT.

2) The top Dean continually complains about has been on his car for YEARS
and as such seems to be giving adequate service. It's seems to be "good
enough" to leave on the car and use as it is.

3) During the ensuing years Dean and I have communicated several times and
EACH TIME I have repeated my offer of a no-charge, new replacement top
exchange. This has been repeated multiple times to Dean even in light of the fact
that his top is now long out of warranty and has been in use on his car for
years.

4) Every time I have offered the replacement top at no charge, I will also
prepay UPS shipping on the "new" top and send UPS to pickup the "old" top at
no charge from Dean. In other words the swap will not cost him a penny.

5) Each and every time Dean has refused to send the "old" top back to me.
It seems as if Dean is intent on holding onto the original top claimed to be
defective and refusing to return to me to verify it's alleged problem(s).

That is what Dean does not have a "new" top on his car. He has conveniently
left out these facts ever time he makes a post "dissing" my tops making it
appear as if I've hung him out to dry. Nothing is further from the truth... I've
been trying to solve this for literally years offering him at no-charge a new
top, shipping to him and shipping back of the "old" top. Dean simply refuses to
return his "allegedly defective" top, even at my TOTAL expense.

Peace,

Ed at Caribou
