This is from a motorcycle, but shows what can happen when braided steel
hoses can rub on metal parts. Fortunatly this failed when not moving,
unfortunatly it happened when we were looking at which resulted in
a friends trip to Accident and Emergency to flush the fluid from his
eyes.

You can get braided steel hoses with a shrink wrapped plastic coating,
and I would say use this as a minimun.
