[alfa] Low fuel pressure. What to do.

Jon - Could be any one of many causes. Need to systematically troubleshoot the problem.

For starters,

1. Is the pump running, but just not extinguishing the low pressure light?

If not, check the fuse. Then check the connector in under the mat in the trunk. Then check the connections at the pump itself and the ground.

2. If it is running, change the rear fuel filter. If still on after that, pinch the fuel line exiting the fuel injection pump on the engine and see if the light will go out. If still no joy, then the problem could be a leaking pressure relief valve in the front fuel filter (not likely), or just a tired fuel pump (very likely.)

There are several threads over on alfabb.com on this specific subject.
