Re: [alfa] 164 vs. BM% e36

Maybe the 164 Q would be a better prospect for out cornering a 116 series
car. The brakes on my 24V 164 super are appalling. New discs and pads and
they fade with one heavy application. There is know way I could drive it
hard on a race track without fitting aftermarket brakes. I drove my standard
alfettas around the track all day, comming into the pits with smoke pissing
from the brakes. They cool off and away you go. Never any fade just a slight
loss of pedal feel through out the day. Alfa dropped the ball when they
stuffed the brakes on the 164. A broken window winder, I would expect that,
but an Alfa shouldnt have bad brakes!
Cheers
Dean
