purchasing parts

There have been several postings in the last month regarding the purchase
of parts for USA Stags I wanted to put my 2 cents worth in. I have owned
my 72 Stag since August 1976 (LE13338UB) it has been thru 1 complete
engine overhaul several brake jobs, a little front end work, as well as
the normal wear and tear items (suspension bushings, shocks, leaky power
steering rack) and I have always purchased my parts from one of the USA
suppliers. These companies have made a serious commitment to our hobby and
have invested large sums of money in inventory. They have always charged
reasonable prices, provided quality parts and been of great technical
assistance. I do not want to say anything negative about suppliers from
overseas as i have never done business with them. But i think it would be
hard to beat our USA suppliers. If we (USA Stag Owners ) don"t support
them we will lose them. I would urge each of you to at least give them a
shot at your next parts order. With out local parts availability it will be
extremely difficult to sell a Stag when that time comes. Also please
remember that when you purchase from one of these suppliers all import and
duty problems are taken care of and shipping time is usually just 2or 3
days. The local distributors have also been extremely helpful in providing
me with used or reconditioned parts when i needed them.
I have no connection of any kind with these suppliers .

The 3 suppliers that I know of:

Stag Specialists
 East coast Jag.
 Eight parts

 Just my 2 cents worth
