Re: Holley Carb Conversion



Its been a while since I messed with carbs...but I don't recall any of the
tubes being vents (at least around the base and side).  I believe anything
not being plumbed for vacuum should be capped. If in doubt you can spray
some ether or carb cleaner around the tube to see if its a vacuum, which
will affect the idle if it is. Though you are right, there are 2 different
vacuums on the carb, only one of which should connect to the vacuum advance
on the distributor.  I've got a Holley book around here somewhere...I'll
have to dig it out and take a look.  Is the carb new, used, what size?? Was
it rebuilt to work with the Stag's motor...i.e. jetting, power valves,
etc....?
