Re: Propogating Stag Mis-Information

Hello

If this mis-information is down to a specific incident, and I think it is,
then the person(s) involved were only trying to resolve a problem on their
car that had arisen out of good advise from this list and therefore were
seeking information from all four corners of the world to help clarify the
various situations.

If this has caused any problems or mis-givings then this should be taken for
what it is and that is an enquiry to try and confirm if there was a problem
or not and the consultation of more than one "expert" or novice should
therefore be taken as read and not as gospel, but if by using all the
various opinions new information can be proved and the manuals can be
re-written, then that in it's self cannot be a bad thing.

If anyone has taken offence at any of the comments being used to help verify
various problems arising out of owning a stag then I think they are being
temperamental as we all know the best method of fixing a mechanical problem
is to consult as many people as possible and ask for their opinions as well
as passing on others opinions as this whole combination of material received
can only be used by the person with the problem and it is upto them to
decide which solution to take, but as for relieving on just one expert or
individual that would be suicidal as not everyone, including experts and
novices alike, can ever have a complete 100% guaranteed knowledge of
everybody else's car, and that includes everyone !

If I have caused any problems to people within this list over my comments
and passing comments on, then I can only apologise ! and reiterate that we
are all here because of one reason and that is our stags and to help keep
our stags on the road.

In future I will keep my comments to myself and consult my local mechanic's
and various parts providers, at least that way there will be no
mis-understandings.
