That swirl business makes some sense. The new GM V engines inUSA have taken
old head designs and put a step just where the plug goes into the combustion
chamber, to produce a phenomenom called tumble which creates a vertically
falling spiralling swirl of the air fuel mixture which causes it to burn more
thoroughly and completely and has enabled better emissions performance and
economy!!
