Hi Paul

Glad to know of your experiences with unleaded and the 'additives'.  Easy,
isn't it.   As I said before, so what's the fuss?

The French want 'leaded' to be available for a lot more years as there are
many old bangers running around the French countryside - these drivers
cannot be upset!  The French government basically do what the electorate
want (or the lorry drivers bring the country to a halt) which is completely
contrary to what happens here.  Therefore unlike the Brits, the French are
making very strong representations in Brussels to have the year 2000 leaded
ban lifted or put back by years.  

If you didn't know, Brussels is where it is all being generated from.  

Brussels are also trying to get a Benzene ban sorted out, a much more
laudible cause.
