Faversham Classics

Having read about peoples experience with Faversham Classics, I thought
I would add my "two pennies worth"

I had Faversham Classics carry out a complete suspension and brake over
haul back in 1996. Prior to agreeing to have the work and taking the car
there myself, I had not seen their workshop. If I had, I proberly would
not have let them do the work, the work shop is not what you would call
pretty.

After the work was done, I put the car into storage, I run The Classic
Reserve, a storage company based in Essex. When I started using the
car, the nearside wheel bearing/brake was extremely noisy, the new brake
pipes broke free from the plastic clips and fouled the propshaft, the
steering wheel and column was mis-aligned and the plastic shroud
underneath the column has cracked and broken.

I informed Trevor and Kevin who duly travelled to me and correvted all
faults except the wheel noise which I eventually got Fullbridge
Restorations to sort when they (Fullbridge) had the car for some paint
repairs earlier this year.

If you ever want body work or trim work done, I would strongly recommend
Fullbridge Restorations. Based in Maldon Essex, they specialise in
Jaquars ( they used to own a museum dedicated to the Jaguar marque) and
their reputation for perfection is such that Jaguar Cars use them to
restore the cars in the factory museum. If you need them, tel
01621-852320. The people to talk to are Daryl or Rick.

Hope this is of interest to any one thinking of using Favarsham
Classics.
