I'm finally putting everything back together on my engine, and have come
to a stumbling block (no pun intended). I had previously installed a
spin-on oil filter adapter, and now I need to replace the two sealing
rings between the adapter and the block. Does anyone know of a source
and size of the two rings? The Roadster Factor sells the the same
adapter for use on TR7s, but they did not list any replacements for the
sealing rings.
BTW, I had to helicoil four of the threads in the heads for the intake
manifold bolts last night. I had already done three of them before
setting the manifold in place, and was torquing down the last bolt when
the threads in the head decided to let go. What a sinking feeling!
