I rebuilt the engine in my '73 stag last winter, and replaced the
waterpump with a GWP206 from rimmer brothers.  All this talk of
insufficiently hardened gears is worryssome, to say the least.  What are
the symptoms of wearing teeth, and how concerned should I be?  I've put
maybe 6000 miles on the engine so far, and have seen no evidence of
metal in the oil when I've changed it - not even a 'sheen' of fine
particles.  Any comments?
