On my Mk1 the hose from the distributor (Hose........thats overdoing
it......its more like the tube used for ball point refills) goes to a rubber
elbow on a small brass spigot which is screwed into one of the carburettor
flanges, between the carbs where the carb is bolted to the angled pedestal.
On later models it goes in to the back of the actual pedestal and you may
have this later model adapter with later carbs fitted.
One of the screws holding the dashpot covers on the carbs retains a small
brass plate. On my Mk1 the number on this plate on the right side is 3289R
(3289L on left one). this is the carb fitted up to engine number LF23932
according to the parts catalogue.
