    Well darn. You guys answered all those questions before I could get to it!

    As for X1/9 stuff in catalogs I see the new Truechoice 
   catalog has a great looking Pipercross air cleaner with
   a base plate for twin DCNF webers on an X1/9.

    On that stuck Scorpion  strut......   If it works like the
    X1/9's I've done the weight of the car will hold the srut
    from turning while you loosen the nut before you jack 
    up the car.
