It should be on the outer side of the left frame rail in the front wheel
well.  The characters should be about 1/2" high, but it's not a very
broad line and you may have to clean the frame well to see it.

On Scouts, it started out right next to the bumper, but gradually worked
back to the area above the axle and in some cases, I've heard it got back
as far as the rear hanger for the front spring.  I don't know what the
reason for this was.
