RE: [ihc] Annealing copper



Why bother annealing? First off the rolled copper was plenty soft, second
and major point the copper gaskets are "self annealing" due to the heat
involved in the application any way. IIRC the fiber gaskets that come with
headers are prone to cracking at temps over 1200 F and mine cracked on all
ports top and bottom so that should be plenty hot to anneal the copper.
 
I was at the Kragens and priced copper gaskets for fords and chevies at
$60.00 per set. I made mine for $14.00.
