I think they'll rub the springs when turning sooner with the 3.5 vs 2.5, but then your wheelbearings will probably be happier with 3.5

Also, both will likely still rub when articulated, and I think both will STILL rub the springs, but with less backspacing you could turn a little sharper before hitting.
