Reply: [ihc] frozen clutch?

Friends, I am very close to getting my 800a back on the road. Through lack
of time (and faulty brakes and leaking gas tanks, and...), it has been
sitting in my driveway for two years. I fixed the brakes and the fuel
problems, and I have been steadily troubleshooting electrical gremlins. Last
weekend I started it up with the intention of driving it around to test the
brakes and such, and I found out the clutch is frozen.

Position the 800 where it is pointed out the driveway, or other safe
direction.
Start the motor with the trans in neutral and warm up the engine.
Shut the motor off.
Put the trans in 1st gear, and start the engine.
Once the motor has started and smoothed out, depress the clutch and slowly
accelerate.
