[ihc] Re: Rhino revisited

David,
Rhino won't install Rhino over anything other than factory bonded
paint or media/sand blasted original body material be it Aluminum,
Fiberglass or Steel.
The reason they won't spray over anything is that it will void their
warrantee for the material. Rhino guarantees that Rhino will not bubble
crack or peel when applied correctly. This includes spraying Rhino over
other materials. I was in the exact same *boat* when I was doing this
Burb. I wanted to cut the heat and the noise, and seal it up. My option
would be Rhino, then Dynamat (if need be) the apply carpet over the top.
Rain or not, the rhino lets the water run right out, and the wet carpet
should dry when it's not soggy underneath. Factory underlayments to
interior carpet are usually what traps the water, and with Rhino you
wouldn't need it?

Dynamat is adhesive. Why not apply it over the Rhino? Then get
floor mats or something to cover the Dynamat?
