[ihc] RMIHR 2004

Good to hear so many of you Digest mambers are planning to make it to RMIHR
this year. I hope to meet up with many of you. I'm in charge of the entrance
gate and will be spending a lot of time their, so ask for me as you arrive.

Regarding the question about the location for next year's (2005) RMIHR, the
current plan is to remain in Salida, at the Chaffee County Fair grounds.
Beyond that, there are no long-term commitments with Chaffee COunty, although
they have been VERY gracious to us, particularly since RMIHR is the second
largest annual event for the Fair Grounds.
We have no plans to move anytime soon, although the continued growth we see
every year may force a move in the future.

New for this year is a brand new enclosed building for vendors and show
vehicles, constructed just this spring, and completed in time for our show. So
we now have two large secure indoor areas for our use.

We also hope to offer a sled pull competition for this year (have not heard
whether this is a go, but Comers are working on it), in addition to all the
other vehicle games you are intitled to participate in as part of your
registration.

Don't forget great food (thanx to Coonrods and Ericsons) both nights.

And of course three days of guided trail rides Monday through Wednesday of the
week following the show.

So it should be a good time, I know I'm looking forward to it.

If you see a red and white Terra towing a trailer with a 154 Cub LoBoy
tractor, followed by a yellow/white Scout II towing a matching pop-up trailer,
followed by a green Dodge 2500 towing a trailer with a big ugly green Scout II
on it, honk or wave- that'll be us.

See you in a week.
