RE: [ihc] Screwy Bill

Well thanks, Jim. I love answering questions like this when I know I
have the right answer. I took my doors off a couple weeks ago and
replaced a few bolts right out of this box. I KNOW I am right. I KNOW
these bolts will work for Bill. I've posted info on these bolts before,
but I am always sooo happy to hear someone ask again. I need to take a
pic of the label and save it so I am ready to pounce when someone asks
again in a couple years. Bam!, here is a pic. Now I can get links from
McMaster too and just hammer someone with info when they ask.<G>

Now, my earlier response to Mac is full of "I think" and "if my memory
is correct" kind of statements. I don't like that.

I guess this is my little contribution to the community.<G>

I love having the doors off on my 800. Foot up on the sill and wind
blowing up my jeans leg to cool me off. We tried it on a Traveler and
the effect was not the same, felt like we were going to fall out. I
need to mount some mirrors to the busted up hinges I took off the 800
and it will be slick. I don't think outside mirrors are required here
unless you have bad eyesight. The cops never mess with me, 'course they
know me pretty well, and not from busting me.

Dinner outside Sat. night was lovely, if a bit breezy. Got some of my
neighbors homemade sausage that we missed at IHWR this year. OTOH,
without a
door I'd have no place to rest my arm, no bueno! ;)

hinges.

www.mcmaster.com

5/16" x 5/8" flat head socket head screws, part # 91253A332. Current
price
$7.84 for a box of 50. In stainless, you'll have to settle for 3/4"
long,
part # 92210A602, $7.02 for 10.

No listing for the OEM style Phillips head. If you were dead set on
those
I'd call the local Fastenal branch and have them rustle some up. By the
time
you pay shipping on a small lot they could well run you a couple bucks a
screw. I'd follow Ed's advice :)
