[ihc] Propane

My Terra was converted to just propane in 1980 after breaking in for a 1000
miles on gas-and it is still on propane. The problem with dual-fuel setups
is that you need to run a step cooler plugs and advance the timing because
it burns slower. Propane also dries out gas carb gaskets and seals. Heated
water to intake manifold should be blocked off. In winter driving, keep
engine and oil temps resonably high to drive off the by-product of
combustion-water. With my milled heads, I would put any properly tuned LPG
engine up against a gasser, in power and mileage. Legally take out
converter and smog pump. Try keeping the same tank of gas in your IH for 3
years. LPG should stay good nearly forever. (50g tank).
