The adapters provided in the aftermarket conversion kits are typically a
light press fit on the spindle. I haven't seen any that use an adapter
sleeve on the OD of the bearing, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.
Seems like they manage to get a hub/rotor/bearing combo that only requires
an adapter for the inboard bearing in most cases. Properly done, I don't see
any problems. It's primarily a locating and radial load bearing surface, not
normally a wear part ;)
