Subject: [OLDIHC:] Short Searching
Not as in searching for something short, but in searching for A short.
This is one of those that everything seems fine when the car is running, but
when I turn it off, something is still dragging the battery down. I have
checked some things, and the lat is fine and the battery is receiving plenty
of juice while running, so I am pretty sure it is a short.
I heard someone on here mention a very simple way one time-is it just to
turn the car completely off, then get your tester light down to the fuse box
and see if any of the fuses have power?
Also-in the event I find that searching for this problem is too hard and I
want the easy way out, I know some of you have mentioned putting a "kill"
switch in for the battery. How is this wired? Because I can't see putting a
switch in that is big enough to take a battery cable-do you just put the
switch in the red "juice" wire that comes from the terminal to the inside or
to the coil or something?
Thanks for any advice on this!
Michael
