Re: [ihc] Front Spindles Heat treated?



Well, the passenger spindle, the one blackened more than blued, the inner race was stuck on so I had to crack the 
bearing  to pull it off, and the spindle looked smooth and so does the inner race, so the anser is no they weren't 
spinning on the spindle.

I am guessing they spun a bit on the hub though. I think *that* was the sound like a deep "oohh" every once in a while, 
especially with the tire being forced sideways at slow speeds on a trail, I could hear an "oohh". I say that because 
both hubs are cracked from the inside going out - 2 symetrical crack 180 degrees apart.. One was almost cracked all the 
way through.

I will say the rollers are straw colored, but 100 percent intact and smooth - same goes for the race surfaces.
