I'm not sure why you said, "As of late". I got started a LONG time before
you did, and consequently have had you beat for a long long time.

A guy who owns a mobility shop was working on my scooter the other day and
our talk turned to flashlights. He had a three way light that looked very
well made. I have to have one! It has a string of LED's around the outside
of the reflector and some kind of special incandescent bulb in the middle.
His three choices are: 1. half the LED's 2. All the LED's 3. The center
bulb. Flashlight looked like it had been turned from a solid billet. Hell
for stout! I was admiring it and considering stealing it when he told me he
had a REAL flashlight. He took down a long case and took out what looked
like a colonoscopy scope. Fiber optics take the light down and bring the
image back up to the eye. He uses it to inspect inside doors and walls and
such without taking them apart.

I bent over and asked him to save me some money, but he said he was too
busy. You need one of those, Joel. You could inspect inside cylinders just
by taking the plug out. Wow!
