[ihc] Re: Postal Scout purchase
Dave, Greg and Howard-
I dunno how many 800's are out there with galvanized bodies, but I know of one
for sure. My previous 70 800A, 232/ T90/Dana 20, LHD, had galvanized rear
quarters. In more than one spot the paint had come off down to the metal, and
the galvanized finish was unmistakable. I can't say anything about the rest of
the tub or the front fenders, but I just kind of assumed that 'all' of them
were like that, and thought IH was pretty dumb to quit using it on the Scout
II. I've got another 70 800A Aristocrat sitting behind the barn, I'm thinking
maybe I need to wade through the snow and scrape some paint and see if it's
galvanized or not.
On another note, Greg, do you have a for-sure part number for those super
wheel bearings you talked about? Where do you get them, is 'Link Belt' the
manufacturer's name?
Thanks, Dennis
