AFAIK, it is't unusual... especially if it's not drastic enough to be
extremely obvious.  I wouldn't worry about that part.

I wouldn't worry horribly much about a leak as long as you keep it with
fluid in it.   You might want to try some of that p/s stop leak stuff to see
if it helps.
