Whooee, I thought my "IHWillys" was tall geared.

I've squeeked out just under 17 mpg with my combo(345, Rochester 2Jet,
3.54 r/p, 33-12.50 BFGs, '51 Willys body, '77 ScoutII chassis).

That 345 just sits there and purrs out on the highway huh?

That represents roughly a 27% overall gearing reduction compared to, say,
'stock' 28"-ish tires and 3.54 r/p. Sounds like a great argument for an o/d
tranny to me.
