[ihc] Radiatior expansion tank
I've got a minor "problem" (for lack of a better term) that I'd like
some feedback on. My radiator expansion tank is on the right side of my
truck, but the little pipe that feeds it is not only on the left side,
but it points out to the left. The hose that connects the two is long
and, at times, it kinks. The kink bothers me (even though it isn't
kinked all the time and the tank appears to be working.)
The obvious and fast solution is to get a longer hose. The only problem
with that is the already long hose will get longer, and it'll still have
to make a 180 degree turn, which is why the current hose kinks at
times. I've not seen a problem with one of these hoses making a 90
degree turn, but the 180 is an issue. Apart from rebuilding the
radiator and having the pipe feed backwards, is there any way to connect
a hard pipe (e.g. PVC) to this to effect the turn? (I prefer that
methodology because a hard pipe probably will NOT collapse.)
Thanks,
Dave
