RE: [ihc] Completely Off Topic but Who Else Would I Ask?



I know of no coal mines in Southern California.  In fact if someone said
drive to a coal mine I would not know where to go.  I know of several quartz
mines, a few gold mines, and several sand and rock strip mines but not coal.
It sounds like a good road trip though.

That's a really fascinating idea. From me, it's only 300 miles to the
nearest coal mine, up on the Navajo reservation. Not sure how close any are
to Pete. Never heard the subject of coal mines come up in that part of the
country.
