I modified my 392 - for the purpose of towing. :D
With my Travelette's 4.30 gearing and 235/85-16 (31) tires, "redline" is
the speed limit (75mph).
Knowing the truck would always be loaded, and would be running 3000rpm all
the time, I opted to trade a little bottom end for more mid-range. I
haven't noticed the "loss" of bottom end one bit.

I know of one, but he doesn't talk much.. :D

My engine STILL has one head off, and the offending lifter sitting on the
bench. I've been too busy getting married, honeymooning, and now trying
to get my new shop finished.. Oh, and it's hunting season. My buck is in
the freezer, so now we're hunting for Elk.
I skipped a wheelin' trip today to stay home and wire the shop some more..
should be getting the Corbond sprayed before too much longer, then comes
the sheetrock... *sigh*
But the motor is still on the stand and still waiting to be put back
together.
