RE: [ihc] Center-splitting rims



The combat rims halves actually bolt together to facilitate changing a
tire in the field.  I didn't even think of them until Tom mentioned the
Hummer wheels.  
I'm sure they came on some WWII jeeps, not sure what else.

Whaddid they do  with 'em ?? --fire off wheel halves at the enemy ?? :-)
