[ihc] Brakes and Bearings

IH all,
Time to start planning the winter work for my 74 Scout. I've got a bad
case of brake rotor thin past the discard measurement. I'm going to replace
the entire brake system from Master on. I've got new rotors, M/C, pads,
Calipers, slaves, and rear lines. I still need to figure out if the drums
will be re-used. I also need longer front lines to accommodate the 4" lift.
(Ford E-250?) Any opinions on steel vs. rubber lines?? The other question
on the brakes is weather I should replace/rebuild the portioning valve.
While I'm at it, I'd like to go through the bearings on both axles, but I
have no idea what to look for or check. I'm thinking I should just go ahead
and replace the bearings on all four ends. What should I be looking for?
What kinds of parts will I need? And lastly, what are the gotchas? Any and
all advice is welcome!
