Re: [ihc] Manual choke issues

---There is a bracket that you hook the cable to and then a screw which
holds the rod to the choke. If your is a manual choke, then it should come
with the bracket. The cable sits inside of the throttle, so the air cleaner
should not be a problem.

---The accelerator cable end should snap onto a ball stud that is on the
accelerator. The new Holleys I have seen, don't have that ball stud, you
have to swap the end with a ball stud end so you can use the original Scout
accelerator cable.

---I will send you a couple pics I just snapped with the cheap-o digital
zoom camera. I hope they will be enough to show you. They are (1) of the
throttle closed so you can see the cable going in toward the carb and (2) of
the throttle open so you can see where the cable mounts to the choke. (*_DO
NOT_* forget to hook up your return springs while setting/testing the choke,
your reflexes are not quick enough to shut the motor down before damage if
the motor is set to ABOVE fully open throttle, and make sure that you don't
pull the throttle back too far when hooking up the choke rod, you can damage
the diaphragm.
