But now isn't the question somewhat the definition of "Federal" in that info
you have?  I mean, couldn't it mean all non-california 304s from 65-68 with
a manual transmission got the carb?   IIRC CA had emmissions standards
already by that time, but someone from there should know better.

Probobly an ambulance by the year, maybe something else though...   There
was an ex military "C series" 1300 4x4 ambulance on the BB a good while ago
for sale, had a 304 IIRC.  This was about a year ago I believe.
