If that were true, David, you wouldnt see so many tow vehicles with
their headlights on low beam putting major high beam-type light in your
eyes.  Actually, it is quite easy and common to raise the front end of
the tow vehicle by putting too much weight on the hitch.  If you use an
equalizer hitch, watch the front end of the vehicle come down as the
torque bars are tightened up.

In my big Dodge with the camper package, just putting my 250 lb.
scooter in the back raises the light pattern a couple of inches at 20
feet away.
