Re: turbos



Mercedes Benz back in the 1930's had a belt driven supercharger on their
sports model.  The clutch was engaged by hammering the pedal against the
floor.  Supposed to make a pretty wicked scream when running.  I think it
was a centrifugal as opposed to something like a roots.  With some spur
gears to step up the speed you would get an interesting sound.
