The way that I've had success loosening stuck drums is to get a 2x6 about
6 feet long.  Use it to just bang around the edge of the drum.  Won't do
the damage of a hammer, but will jerk the rust loose.  My dad showed me
this one and really scared me when I frist saw him do this to my car.
