Clutch slave cylinder
Yes, all that series trucks used slave cylinders. You just hone it out, put
in the new cup, works for almost exactly a year. Buy a rebuilt from a parts
store, lasts almost exactly two years. Get one in a Navistar box for $28
and have no more problems.
But what was the problem? It should be easy to bleed, hell, it's just one
cylinder at the end of the line, but sometimes it fights you. How is the
line routed... is there a high spot in it? I stupidly routed mine ABOVE the
cluch m/c and of course took forever to get the air out.
The one on my J**p never bleeds out right. I can only get it so it's
functional. But 10 minutes of stop and go driving and it's perfect. Can't
figure that one out.
