POR's Metal Ready

The Metal-Ready thing really, REALLY p*ssed me off. I don't have all the
time in the world, so after hearing all about POR, I went to the web site,
read some more about how it just covers up rust, and ordered it last spring.

So I finally get the WM floorboards ready. I open the package, and there's
a nice step-by-step on how to do them.

Of course, it tells you not only to use Metal-Ready but something else too,
if I remember correctly. Well, I wasn't going to be around the next 2
weekends so if I ordered the sh*t then the truck would sit for almost
another month. Sheesh. Why was the POR description so misleading?

So, since we had really brushed the surface clean and the carpet was going
to come up again in the future (it needs replaced) and the truck was only a
3-seasons truck, etc, etc, I just put the damn POR directly on the floor
like was implied in all their other BS literature.

We'll see how it holds up-- I expect to feel like paying for new carpeting
by next summer or so.
