I ran Slick 50 in my Jeep years back and actually could tell a difference
starting it. After adding it, I only had to turn it over one time to get it to
start and stay running.

I think Synth's are good. It's all a matter of opinion. When I had my Hummer I
ran Rotella-T and I thought it worked just fine. On the other hand, there were
those that ran Amsoil Synth. and swore by it. They said it kept its viscosity
much longer than Rotella and other diesel oils.

I guess you could use the same argument there as you could whether split-fire
plugs actually made a difference or not. Anything will make a difference on an
engine that is not perfectly maintained IMHO. :O)
