Hey Tom,
I did this when I put the 304/T19 in my '80.  The middle socket on the N saftey/backup switch harness is for Nsafety, its needs to be grounded.  The rest of the plug will plug directly to the T19 and run your backup lights.  You just have to splice into the  middle wire and ground it somehow.
