Pwr steering parts from AGR
I have spoken with the owner of AGR and the power sterring pump is of the
higher pressure type and flow however the reverse saginawl (spelling?)
sterring box is not the right one to swap the quick ratio parts from the
late model chevy trucks inside. However he did say he could sell me a
rebuilt one that includes better o-rings and he would also tighten up the
stops to make it turn a bit better. This was all pretty cheap for what it
was. I think like $145 for the box and $125 for the pump.
I have another plan. I am going to look for a cady or lincoln that has the
same type power sterring pump as the IH and swap it in. The benifit is the
cady sterring has better pressure so it steers with one finger witch will
help when running larger tires.
Its either that or do the washer shim trick thats detailed on Weeds site.
