Tranny conversion report-preliminary




Taking a quick break here. Last post requested info on the ball bearing.
STill need the info. Now I'll go through the quick rundown.

Took the nasty dirty 727 from the scout apart. Look like all you need IS the
tail cone pieces, the rear shaft and a gasket kit. What I didn't know what
the you have to fully dissasemble the tranny to get the rear shaft out. So,
both trannys disassembled, old one in a larg puddle of red/black tranny
fluid. New one partially assembled. Need to finish assembling the tail
shaft, Find out where that ball bearing goes, put on the valve body, and put
the pan back on. Not too difficult. Just time consuming.

Gonna go out and track down a few gaskets and more tranny fluid. So there we
are.
