I just got a rag joint assembly yesterday from SSS and it comes with all 
that stuff assembled with a splined yolk (?).  It was $45.  That may be the 
easiest way to go, instead of trying to make other stuff fit, or use old 
stressed bolts.  I figure there are two areas that shouldn't be on the 
short-cut/cheap list: steering & brakes.
